The developer wants to build two six-storey apartment buildings and 22 townhouses on the east side of Gordon Street
Further accommodation is available along Gordon Street in the south of the city.
A rezoning and Official Plan Amendment application has been filed by GSD Development and Management to rezone a 1.2 hectare (2.77 acre) property to medium density residence, clearing the way for two six-bedroom apartment buildings. floors totaling 134 units overlooking Gordon Street.
The proposal also includes 22 townhouses fronting Landsdown Drive.
Officially the location is 1166, 1170, 1182, 1190, 1200 and 1204 Gordon St. which is a strip of detached houses on the east side of Gordon between Harts Lane and Edinburgh Road.
The building would include 173 parking spaces, most of which are underground, as well as bicycle parking.
For the townhouse portion, the proposal calls for 22 three-storey units in total, spread over four blocks. Each unit would have a garage and driveway.
Access to the apartments would be via Landsdown Drive, not Gordon Street.
Currently, the property has six detached houses, which would be demolished.
