Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) revealed on Friday that officers arrested a Ukrainian intelligence agent in Kursk for spying on military installations.

“The illegal activities of a resident of the city of Kursk, a citizen of Ukraine, who is an agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, suspected of taking part in the collection and transfer of information about foreign intelligence instructions on the objects of the [Russian] Ministry of Defense for use against the security of Russia, have been arrested,” the FSB said in a statement.

According to the statement, special technical tools given to him by the Ukrainian special agency were seized from his apartment.

This comes in light of the recent assassination of Darya Dugina, the daughter of Russian political philosopher and analyst Alexander Dugin, who died in a car bomb attack prepared and executed by Ukrainian special services, as revealed by the Russian FSB.

The Russian Investigative Committee determined that an explosive device was hidden under the floor of the car on the driver’s side. The FSB revealed that Ukrainian citizen Vovk Natalya was behind the murder.

“The crime was prepared and committed by Ukrainian special services. The interpreter is a citizen of Ukraine Vovk Natalya … born in 1979, arrived in Russia on July 23, 2022, together with her daughter … In order to organize the murder from D. Dugina and to get information about his lifestyle, they rented an apartment in Moscow in the house where the deceased lived, ”the FSB said.
