The city will get the two theme parks – the children’s park in Sector 33A and the dog park in Sector 137 – by the end of March this year, Noida authority officials said on Sunday, adding that the dog park will be a one-of-a-kind park dedicated to pets.

In addition, the other two theme parks – Vedvan Park dedicated to Indian scriptures in Sector 78 and Wetland Park in Sector 91 – will be ready for public use within the next three months, officials said.

“The Noida authority spends about 14 crore on these four theme parks under development. The Dog Park will have a dog playground among other facilities and animal lovers can visit it with their pets,” said Indu Prakash Singh, Special Duty Officer, Noida Authority.

The Dog Park is being developed on two acres of land next to the Aqua Line Sector 137 subway station. According to officials, the authority decided to develop a dog park after receiving requests from several groups of residents who said the apartment complexes barely had enough space for their pets to roam. and play. Along with green spaces, the park will also have vet and pet food facilities.

Officials said the authority has completed civil works at the Sector 91 Wetland Park and horticultural work is about to begin. “The work on the wetland will be completed as soon as possible. Once this is done, we will start planting ornamental trees and other horticultural work. It will be one of the most beautiful parks with a water feature for the general public,” Singh said.

Officials said that Vedvan Park is dedicated to Indian scriptures and saints, who wrote those scriptures. The aim is to provide visitors with an opportunity to understand ancient scriptures and how these writings can positively impact lives, they said.

“Our motivation is for people to enjoy nature with their loved ones in these parks,” Singh said.
