Between December and April, you may even see a humpback whale and it's calf celebrating the end to another perfect day in the warm, clear, turquoise water of the Auau channel. Watch the Maui moon rise, casting sailboats anchored just offshore into sapphire silhouette. And while stars begin to appear in the evening sky, settle in to one of the big wicker chairs in the turret or a rocker on the balcony, and enjoy the sweet fragrance of the island pua (flower), and the soothing sounds of the gentle nalu (wave).
